Double Checking....

So the ultra sound tech and i decided to go back and do another ultra sound to double check that we were having girl... since the last time she was curled up in a ball. The ultra sound lady said she was 90 % sure it was a girl.... So I went back to her today... and its 100 % sure a girl! Here are a few pictures that I thought were really cute!

How his first day went...

I know you are all tired of me posting today.... but I just gotta tell you how his first day went. So he said there were lots and lots and lots... did i mention LOTS of push ups, sit ups and leg lifts! Lots of people got yelled.... lucky for them they did not yell at Nick. They put Nick in charge of 12 guys which means he is a squad leader. That could be a good thing but that also could be a really bad thing. If his squad messes up they will be looking at the leader to yell at! So he better keep those guys in check! Other than that he said it wasnt too bad! He knows that the physical training probably will get harder and the book/instruction part is gonna be a lot harder but he thinks that he will do just fine! However, one of the other guys quit right after lunch!!!! Can you believe that... i mean come on give it a day or two then quit! Sissy!!!!!

There's a New Sheriff in town!

So today was Nicks first day of the Sheriffs Academy!!!! The start of our new life!! He was so anxious/nervous for his first day!!! I got up at 530am this morning to help get him ready for work ... No i didnt help him get dressed... I actually got up and made him his lunch and sat with him while he ate his breakfast of champions (im such a good wife!!!)! I gave him a kiss and off he went! I havent talked to him all day...I actually missed his call!!! He did text me and this is what it said... "Doing Great!! I tried to call but I gotta go. I love you!" I hope he is doing well and no one is yelling at him or else they will have to deal with his wife!!!! No one yells at him except me! hahahah!!!! I will post later tonight how his first day of the academy went! Here are a few pictures of my sexy hubby in his uniform!!!

We are having a girl!!

On Saturday we had an ultra sound appointment to determine the sex of the baby. At first our little peanut was curled up in a ball so all we could see was her bootie! She was not cooperating at ALL!!! I was starting to get worried since we were having our family over for a little BBQ to announce what we were having! She only had about 2 hours to get uncurled or momma would have been mad! So she finally moved around and after about 30 minutes the technician determined we were having a baby girl! So we had her put the picture of the ultra sound in an envelope. It was so HARD not to peek!!!! Then we headed over to Babies R Us and picked out a really cute boy and girl outfit (of course the same price so that the receipt didnt give it away!) Then we asked one of the workers to open the envelope and put the corresponding color (outfit) in the bag and wrap it up for us (Nick and I were wondering around the store anxiously awaiting for the lady to call us up to the counter to pay)! So we finally paid and walked to the car! Again, it was so hard not to peek!!! We even contemplated on putting the present in the truck just so we wouldnt have the urge to peek! So eventually the family was all over and it was time to reveal the sex of the baby! Heres how it went....

16 & 17 Weeks

A week from today...

Nick and I will be going to do our gender ultra sound! Will it be a little girl or will it be a little boy??? I am so anxious to find out what we will be having!!! Can next saturday be here already?!?!?!?!

What are the odds!

So Nick and I had a meeting yesterday with the sheriffs department. They talked to all the people going into the academy as well as their spouse, mother, father, sibling, or friend. They told us what to expect for the next 6 months. They answered a ton of questions that the loved ones had. One question asked was "When will the graduation be??" And to my suprise they said the graduation is July 9th!!! Umm ya only 4 days after our due date!!! What are the odds?!?!?!Man this baby either needs to come early or i better keep my legs crossed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got Nicks uniforms for the academy!!!

Man this is starting to feel so real now!!!! We went today and bought everything that he will be needing for the academy. The only thing we still need to go get is his gun. But he doesnt need that till like week 9 or 10 so we can wait to get that. It was pretty exciting!!! We go on tuesday the 13th to another meeting where I have to go with him. Im sure thats where they are gonna tell me that Nick doesnt have to clean or do laundry! ugh... like he does that anyways now huh??? It will be interesting to hear what they have to say. None the less we are so excited for this new opportunity we are about to embark on!!!

Went to the Doctors today!

So i had my 14.5 week appointment today. Everything went really well. Over the past couple of weeks i was using the home doppler heart beat thingy and we spent hours (total) trying to find the heartbeat but we couldnt. So i was a little worried the last couple of days. But today the dr. used their doppler thing and found the heartbeat in like 5 seconds!! Man they are good!!! So the baby's heartbeat is 156!!! A strong heartbeart! So that was exciting to hear our little peanut!!!

p.s For all you family members who are taking the weight poll..... as of today i yet to gain a single pound!!!! hahahaha!!

Baby Roberts Coming July 2009!

So FINALLY after keeping this wonderful secret since October 28th, 2008 we finally announced on Christmas Eve and Christmas day to our families that we are expecting Baby Roberts around July 5th, 2009! We are so excited for what is in store for us!!!! We will be thrilled whether it is a boy or a girl as long as the baby is healthy!!! But as most know us... lets pray for a girl because i dont know if I can handle a Little Nick running around! hahaha!!
